🎤 Too Important Not To Speak
Abortion isn't an unfortunate side quest, it’s an essential part of ALL reproductive care. And as we've tragically seen, when Black women are denied abortion, they’re lives are put at risk. Abortion IS bodily autonomy and self-determination, and for a population that suffers the worst maternal mortality rates, it’s a necessary resource to LIVE and THRIVE.
🖕🏿 F*ck the Stigma
For Black women, stigma doesn’t just make them feel a little ashamed; it means doctors ignore them, insurance denies them, and society brushes off their deaths. So this Black Maternal Health Week, let’s all say FUCK THE STIGMA and make sure abortion is ALWAYS included in the reproductive justice convo.
The Headline: Bloomington Police bans using Flock data for immigration, reproductive investigations

🖕 Bloomington, Indiana Tells Big Brother to “FLOCK OFF”
Bloomington police finally came to their senses and just banned using license plate reader data from Flock surveillance cameras to investigate abortion care AND immigration. So yes, your car is no longer a suspect for… driving to a doctor’s appointment. Bare minimum, but we’ll take it!
📹 How The Flock Did We Get Here?
The Bloomington, Indiana Police Department’s policy change was a result of a 400+ activist protest that went down back in January against the city’s use of surveillance. These Flock cameras literally track where your car goes and were being used to investigate reproductive care and immigration AND were able to be subpoenaed by out-of-state officials too. We can thank Texas for that one.
🤡 The Bar Is Still In Hell
This is a win for Indiana, but license plates are STILL being tracked in other states to criminalize folks for accessing reproductive healthcare. This is a multi-state issue where data can cross state lines, which is what makes it extra flocking creepy.
The Headline: Urgent Care Clinics Move to Fill Abortion Care Gaps in Rural Areas

🏥 Urgent Care Takes on Abortion Care
Some urgent care centers are starting to offer abortion medication now that abortion clinics have been CHOPPED by our shitty, misogynist, tyrannical lawmakers. Great that some are stepping up to do this, but we cannot stress this enough: THERE’S NO REASON TO PUT ALL THE PRESSURE ON URGENT CARE WHEN ABORTION CLINICS WERE DOING IT JUST FUCKING FINE.
🤕A Band-Aid on Abortion Access
Honestly, abortion medication should already be integrated into EVERY medical practice because it is essential, extremely safe, and EXTREMELY common care. So if this abortion crisis is the thing to get them across that line, great. Especially in rural areas that have basically ZERO access to healthcare. But we know that anti-abobo lawmakers won’t rest until our only healthcare “option” is anti-abortion religious fake clinics that specialize in manipulation and know jack shit about medicine.
♥️Abortion Clinics Do It Best
Abortion clinics offer compassionate, patient-centered, non-judgmental care. We’ll take any solutions to weather this totally unnecessary self-imposed public health crisis. But we also support the best in the biz being allowed to DO THEIR FUCKING JOBS.
