MEANWHILE, progressive lawmakers in the Bluegrass State kicked March off by proposing a constitutional amendment that would establish the fundamental right to reproductive freedom and abortion! If passed, it would stop the state from punishing or prosecuting someone over their pregnancy outcome, i.e. miscarriage, stillbirth, or abortion, ANNNNND would also protect anyone who helps them access reproductive care. We’ve known Meta has been on an abortion censoring spree across ALL their platforms (hello, us!), but now we know their AI ChatBot is keeping FACTUAL abortion and sexual health info from minors, AS A RULE. Zuck you, bro.

@MotherJonesMag obtained Meta’s guidelines for interacting with minors and the policy straight up BANS telling people where they can get an abortion or even where they can go to GET that info. And apparently you need a fully developed prefrontal cortex to know about condoms—or, brace yourselves, tampons.

Young people increasingly rely on AI, so censoring online health information puts them in danger IRL. So just to be clear: decimating teens’ mental health is fine but giving them ACTUAL health information is a step too far. Cool cool cool.
