The Abortion Access Report 1/28/2026
More court cases and poor losers!
Welcome to today’s episode of The Hits Keep Coming. An abortion pill case is on ice (for now), forced-birth fanatics are losing their minds, Missouri’s courtroom showdown could reshape access, and Arizona lawmakers are working overtime to ignore their own voters. Let’s dive in.
The Headline: Trump asks federal court to hit pause on abortion pill case, citing ongoing study

TLDR:
⏸️Trump Admin Wants to Pause One Attack On Abortion Pills
The crusty, dusty admin has requested that a judge hold Louisiana’s lawsuit that would roll back access to medication abortion. They’re not suddenly team Abobo. In their filing, they said they’re probably gonna come to the same outcome THEMSELVES anyway in the FDA’s current (supposedly totally neutral, definitely not rigged) “review” of mifepristone.
😡“Pro-lifers” are Apoplectic and We Are Here For It
Cue the fetus fanatics losing their minds over what they see as a stalling tactic from an admin that didn’t IMMEDIATELY deliver their entire forced birth fantasy land. They are not satisfied with just going after docs across state lines. The “leave it to the states” crew wants a NATIONAL ban, now. Today, we will bathe in the glow of their fury. 🛁
⚔️ The Attacks Are Still Attacking
This upcoming “review” of the EXTREMELY SAFE, EXTREMELY STUDIED abortion pill is a farce to claim it’s dangerous to justify rolling back access. And this Louisiana case is just one of three federal cases against medication abortion. So yea, let’s pause this bullshit, break the remote, and leave mifepristone the fuck alone.
The Headline: Missouri’s abortion rights trial concludes, but a decision is still months away
TLDR:
🎬 Missouri Abortion Restrictions Trial is a WRAP
Oral arguments on Missouri’s abortion restrictions are finally donzo. Over 10 days, Planned Parenthood made the case that since voters said YES to enshrining abortion protections in their constitution, all the state’s bullshit anti-abortion restrictions are now ALSO, say it with us, UNCONSTITUTIONAL.
📊 Grifter Math
The state had no case so they lied their ass off the entire time. They had the AUDACITY to say with a straight face that abortion is more dangerous than pregnancy. PREGNANCY. Which is diabolical coming from a state that has one of the WORST maternal mortality rates in the country.
⏱️ Waiting Game with MASSIVE Stakes
This decision could strike down HUGE roadblocks to care like the 72-hour waiting period and a ban on prescribing abortion medication via telehealth. And it would be a game-changer for access in the Midwest and South. But don’t get comfy, there’s ANOTHER ballot proposal in front of voters that would retract the protections they JUST voted for. Cuz nothing says “leave it to the states” like trying to IMMEDIATELY reverse the will of the people.
The Headline: 3 bills abortion advocates say would limit AZ reproductive rights advance in House
TLDR:
🗳️Arizona Looked at the Ballot Results and Said “Nah.”
Remember when Arizona voters made it LOUD AND CLEAR in the 2024 election that they wanted constitutional abortion protections? Well, the Arizona House Committee just yeeted the ballot box out the damn window and approved THREE anti-abortion bills this past week. Cuz that’s TOTALLY how it works. COOL.
🧌The Vaginal Crossing Guards Entered The Chat
The category is: personhood. (boooooo). These bills would criminalize fetal death as murder, shove fetuses into child-support law, and mandate witnesses to snitch on “illegal” abortions. Translation: a back-door scheme to choke abortion access, regardless of what Arizonans voted for, without technically banning it.
⚠️ The Stakes
Right now, abortion is legal up to fetal viability in the Grand Canyon State. If these bills pass, that reality gets quietly torched. Arizona is screaming for bodily autonomy, and lawmakers are working overtime to pretend they don't hear it. These bills still need full House approval before slithering over to the Senate, so as always, we’ll keep y’all updated.
It’s alot, we know. Hang in there with us,
