The Abortion Access Report 12/12/2025
Welcome to the Abortion Access Report! Your daily download of the abobo-related news you may have missed—delivered with Abortion Access Front’s unbeatable mix of shade, smarts, and snark.
The Headline: #WeCount report, April 2022 to June 2025

TLDR:
People Will Always Find Ways To Get Abortions
New data from @WeCount just dropped: In-clinic care is still the backbone of abortion access, but telehealth is becoming a lifeline—especially for people in states where extremists have slammed clinic doors shut. And shield laws? They are straight-up SAVING access for folks in states with bans, proving that when states protect providers, patients get care.Believe the Receipts
The data shows that communities, providers, and advocates are adapting faster than the opposition can criminalize us. But they also show how fragile this all is. Every gain depends on people like YOU showing up.In the streets, in the statehouse, We’ll Be at Every Fight
Abortion access survives because people like US (powered by people like YOU!!!) refuse to back down.
Let’s keep going.
The Headline: Lawmaker strips ‘catch kit’ provision from abortion pill legislation
TLDR:
UPDATE: Wisconsin Backtracks on Catch Kits For Abortions
Well lookie here! In the past week, Wisconsin lawmakers got dragged so hard they had to remove their DERANGED “catch kit” provision from their proposed anti-abortion medication law. Who woulda thunk that forcing people to put their abortions in state-mandated doggie bags is a bad look!Reduce, Reuse, Retraumatize
These lawmakers tried to claim with a straight face that the catch kit requirement is about… wait for it… THE ENVIRONMENT. Anti-abortion orgs have been pushing the lie that mifepristone is poisoning the drinking water via our medication abortions. Which would be funny if it didn’t end in state-mandated torture.Down, But Not
OutTheir heinous law has only been tweaked, not rescinded. They’re still standing ten toes down for punishing abortion pill drug manufacturers. So here’s to hoping this bill gets buried under a thick coat of petroleum sludge and never sees the light of day again.
The Headline: State Policy Trends 2025 Full-Year Analysis
TLDR:
2025’s Spotify Wrapped of Anti-Abortion Extremism
It’s that cheery time of year when @guttmacherinstitute drops their report on the hottest trends in reproductive oppression. Unsurprisingly, the forced birth brigade’s biggest obsession this year was mifepristone, the undisputed queen of abortion access and thorn in the side of the womb police.Mifepristone is Their Roman Empire
After bans went into effect, people STILL got abortions. So this past year has been all about demonizing the abortion pill, targeting telehealth, hunting down out-of-state abortion providers, and threatening abortion funds and support networks. And of course, continuing to blast a firehose of cash into fake clinics while defunding real ones. The Good News (There is Some!)
While the statehouse sadists were out all year trying to criminalize compassion, pro-choice states were protecting doctors, passing shield laws, expanding medication abortion access, and telling right wing states to eat it. Read the report and stick with us in 2026 to keep pushing back on their bullshit.
See ya Monday have a great weekend!

So if they're so anti-abortion, where are the vasectomies? The bans on Viagra? That's the only real solution. No? It's about right to life? Who are they kidding? It's about right to fetus because they sure don't give a damn once baby is born and they sure don't give a damn if mom lives or dies. Look at that poor decaying body that was hooked up to machines so that she could carry an embryo long enough to birth a poor sickly baby. These people make me so angry. You know if a man grabs a woman's wrist it immediately causes an angry reaction because the implication of control is so strong. This is the Godzilla of all control! It's reaching in to grab and control a woman's uterus. How is this not raping us of our rights? Angry women unite! Push back on these absurdly stupid, unscientific, and oppressive laws.
